Not one cent!

Barbados gained a small profit from last August’s Rihanna concert and did not pay the artiste a cent, says Minister of Tourism Richard Sealy.
Furthermore, local tourism authorities will do more promotional work with the Def Jam/Roc Nation music star later this year.
“Currently, the creative team from Rihanna’s side and one creative team from the Barbados Tourism Authority (BTA) are meeting and exchanging concepts with a view to rolling out a campaign later this year,” he said, adding that he could give no further details on the plan.
Sealy said in the House of Assembly late Friday night, following the passing of the 2012-2013 Estimates, that Government had spent just under $5 million, including Value Added Tax, to stage the August 5, 2011 concert featuring Rihanna, and recouped just over $4 million, via gate receipts and sponsorship.
