$10 000 to help fight child cancer

THE CAMPAIGN against childhood cancer in Barbados has received a $10 000 boost.
The Optimist Club of Barbados South (OCBS) presented the $10 000 cheque to the Barbados Cancer Society yesterday, the eve of “I Am An Optimist Day”.
SOL Caribbean Limited, in collaboration with the OCBS, on February 12 staged the SOL Optimist Love Walk that yielded the funds for the club’s Childhood Cancer Campaign.
SOL had teamed up with the club because “supporting childhood cancer” was one of its key initiatives, the company explained.
