Picnics the choice of the day

Picnic spots in the north of the island were a popular choice for Easter Monday socializing and family fun.
At Barclays Park on the Ermie Bourne Highway, more familiarly known as the East Coast Road, Steve Edward and over 40 Edward family members were having their annual family picnic.
Steve said that every year the family would come to the East Coast early in the morning and secure their spot in the corner.
“We hold this spot every year. I love it down here. It is very quiet and peaceful, a great atmosphere,” said Steve.
