Religious leaders from several denominations and faith-based institutions came together last Friday to discuss a number of societal and religious issues in the first ever Religious Summit organized by the Ministry of Family, Culture, Sports and Youth.
Held at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre, attendees, including Minister of Culture Stephen Lashley, explored issues such as Family Life And Religion, The Role Of Faith In The Development Of Society, Human Sexuality, and Crime And Its Impact On Society, among others.
Religious leaders made their presentations on the topics, followed by a question-and-answer session and a workshop to discuss the topics.
Reverend Neilson Waithe – who manages Network Services, a counselling organization – said this was his way of reaching out to people of various denominations.
