YESTERDAY’S EARTH DAY 2012 was celebrated in different forms and fashions by billions around the world.
In Barbados, The Future Centre Trust (FCT) arranged a tour and “teach-in” at Welchman Hall Gully, which was supported by the United States Embassy to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean.
Nature lovers and those interested in protecting the environment visited the St Thomas gully to enjoy its tranquility while being encouraged to imagine the island’s physical structure years ago.
The 45 visitors were guided through the tropical forest with a mix of Barbadian and other exotic tropical plants by its manager Debra Brancker.
