Testimony and thanks to God

Give thanks with a grateful heart! In everything, give thanks. Hallelujah! Let thanks to Almighty God flow!
For over two hours last Friday night such thanks and praises emanated from the inner sanctuary of Help Bless Ministries at Montrose, Christ Church.
Minister in charge, Prophet Harold Broomes, led his congregation in an awesome time of thanksgiving to God.
In fact, long after the praise in words was over, thanks was given in testimony by almost every member of the church and each testified to God’s goodness.
There was testimony to restored relationships, financial needs that were met, healing and unexpected promotions, God’s constant faithfulness and mercies, His love, goodness and compassion – and more.
Even the sole song on the night spoke of giving thanks. Hallelujah! Yes, the “hallelujahs” and “amens”, “I love you Lord”, “God, you’re wonderful,” “Lord, you’re beautiful,” Lord, you’re faithful, mighty, worthy of praise and highly exalted”, resounded from lips offering praise and adoration to the true and living God.
Broomes urged members to recall all the various times the devil wanted to take them out but could not because of God’s unfailing love, protection and faithfulness.
He reminded them of the power found in the blood of Jesus, God’s purchase of their lives and His plan of salvation which washed them of their sins and enabled them to stand clean before God.
“Tonight there is a hedge of protection around you,” he preached.
“The devil cannot touch you unless he asks God for permission. Remember that the blood of Jesus is sufficient to protect your mind, body, soul and spirit. You are well protected by the blood,” he re-emphasized amid shouts of praise and thanks.
He also reminded them of their position in Christ and that they “are heirs and joint heirs together with Jesus.”
As voices of thanksgiving rang out, Broomes added, [“Yes, Church,] we are not going to ask God for anything tonight. We are going to give Him praise and thanks for His many blessings because He is worthy.”
And the church gave thanks!
“Take a leaf out of the book of the one leper who returned to Jesus to thank him for his healing. Let’s give God thanks,” he shouted.
And the church continued to give thanks!
“Give God thanks for carrying you during the past week,” he added.
And the church praised and thanked God!
“In everything give thanks. Thank God for everything, for this is the will of God for you,” he reiterated.
The night of thanksgiving was just part of a week of thanksgiving planned by the church to thank God for His faithfulness to the ministry over the years.
And the church truly gave thanks!
