FORMER BARBADOS CABINET MINISTER Don Blackman has suffered a heart attack in St Kitts.
Blackman is in hospital there after suffering a mild attack on Thursday.
He is under observation and is reportedly in stable condition.
Sources close to the 74-year-old Blackman say it is likely he will head to Barbados later this week for further medical tests.
Blackman, arguably the most charismatic and dynamic platform speaker of the Barbados 1986 general election, was one of the architects of the Democratic Labour Party’s (DLP) resounding 24-3 triumph then.
The former Member of Parliament for St Michael East fuelled national debate with his late withdrawal from the next general election in January, 1991.
