PRIME MINISTER Freundel Stuart is extremely proud of the region’s independence experiment. He’s even prouder of how Caribbean people continue to showcase their immense skills to the rest of the planet. The Prime Minister today offered belated birthday greetings to Jamaica, which celebrated 50 years of Independence on August 6, and then offered early 50th birthday greetings to Trinidad and Tobago, which will celebrate its milestone on August 31.Stuart offered the greetings in the House of Assembly. “The independence experiment has worked.
