The section of the ABC Highway, between the Emancipation Statue and the Polytechnic will be closed on Saturday morning from 6 a.m. until Sunday at 8 p.m.
That’s because teams from the C O Williams Construction team will be putting the Pedestrian Overpass in place this weekend between CBC studios and the Parkinson School.
A release from C O Williams Construction stated that traffic between highways 5 and 6 will connect via The Pine Plantation Road at Government Hill and Upper Collymore Rock in St Michael.
“Traffic travelling east along the Pine East-West Road will turn left as usual; while traffic into Friendship and the Pine Hill Dairy will use the south corridor in both directions. Similarly, the traffic to CBC Studios will approach from BET in the south at the small roundabout and use the south corridor in both directions,” it added.
The release also appealed to residents to not use the residential roads for Wildey and Parkinson Field.
“It is recommended that you avoid this entire area on Saturday and Sunday as delays can be expected on the connecting roads,” concluded the release. (PR/CM)
