IF THERE IS ONE TIME of the year that a house in Barbados will get a new coat of paint, it is around the Christmas holidays.
That’s when Barbadians want a fresh new look for the holidays and the New Year and what better time to do it than when the children are home to help?
Across the island people can be seen washing down and painting up their homes.
A DAILY NATION team was in Vaughn Road No.1 in St Joseph yesterday when a group of young people were spotted sprucing up their homes. While the older folk were camera shy, two young women in particular did not mind being photographed participating in the annual Christmas clean-up that saw them washing, painting, rearranging and dusting, among other chores.
