CHRISTMAS CHEER was certainly spread across Barbados yesterday as a number of private and public sector organizations, clubs, schools, groups and individuals distributed items to the less fortunate.
One of those goodwill groups included the Prayer Palace Ministries, located  in The City.
Pastor Anthony Lowe told the MIDWEEK NATION the church  has been helping the less fortunate  at Christmas time for the past 12 years. They started distributing food to about 50 people, especially in St Michael,  but as he explained, that number  has tripled.
“The numbers have increased tremendously over the years.  We are now distributing to about  150 people.
“It brings joy to our hearts at this time to see people who might not have had  a meal sit down and enjoy one – plus . . . people would have given me stuff throughout the year . . . .”  (MM)
