Top design award for Jenny Blanc
It has been an extra-special Yuletide season for the Jenny Blanc design company.
The globally recognized interior designer and her team, with operations in Barbados and London and Barbadian Sue Thomas-Richardson as design director, are celebrating the Best Interior Design Private Residence Award they copped at the 2012 International Property Awards.
Competing against design companies in Arabia, Asia Pacific, Canada, the Caribbean, Central and South America, Europe and North America, Jenny Blanc carried off the global award on December 7 at the grand final of the International Property Awards at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.
Projects were judged by a panel of top industry experts who declared the winning Jenny Blanc project to be exceptional.
This global recognition and ultimate accolade to the creativity and artistry of the Jenny Blanc designers follows other successes in regional award finals in October, when they won Best Interior Design Private Residence for all of Britain.
“We are really proud to have been awarded world’s best in this category. This was an outstanding project for us and the first UK project we have submitted for the awards. So it is doubly exciting and a great honour to be internationally recognized for our work with this most prestigious prize,” said team leader Jenny Blanc.
The Best Interior Design Private Residence Award was won for Jenny Blanc’s sympathetic restoration of a 15th Century Lodge in Hertfordshire, which not only won Best Interior Design Private Residence In The East Of England but also the overall award in this category in Britain.
Such prestigious international awards are not new to the Jenny Blanc team as they have won international acclaim for designing the homes of several celebrities on the West Coast of Barbados.
They were also the 2007 International Property Awards winner for Best International Interior Design on a Port St Charles Apartment, Barbados; the 2008 Americas Property Awards Four Star winner for Best Interior Design Caribbean, for a Barbados residence; and the 2009 Americas Residential Property Awards Five Star winner of Best Interior Design Caribbean, for a Royal Westmoreland Estate Residence.
Jenny Blanc formally established a showroom at Holetown, St James, in December 2011 and work with local artisans in their design operations.
The International Property Awards, now in tits 19th year, is the world’s most prestigious competition for residential and commercial properties. (PR)
