“Totally disproportionate to the matter at hand and the threat to the economic well-being of the entire country cannot be justified”.
These words are coming from John Williams, Chairman of the Barbados Private Sector Association, in response to the threatened strike by the Barbados Workers Union over the industrial dispute with LIME.
Speaking on behalf of the umbrella organization for the major local private sector bodies, Mr Williams cautioned against a work stoppage given the present state of our economy. The BPSA has over the years played a significant role in being the unified voice of the Private Sector within the Social Partnership.
Williams has also issued a call to all the parties involved to let reason prevail and to settle this matter without putting Barbados and Barbadians at risk.
