Retired and practising nurses turned out at Almond Bay Hotel for the 76th Annual General Meeting of the Barbados Nurses’ Association.
It was an occasion when nurses reflected and discussed their own welfare and continuing contribution to health care in Barbados, but it was also an evening for social interaction and sharing of memories when the formalities were over and socializing began.
The keynote address on The Role And Responsibility Of The Trade Union Within The Professional Association was given by Geraldine Cunningham, associate director, culture change, Barts Health NHS Trust in London. Social Scene zeroed in on the nurses socializing.
