Praises in song, dance

Patrons attending Agrofest last Sunday were treated to an evening of gospel by some of Barbados’ talented musicians, worship dancers and singers.
Members of the Word Alive Christian Centre got things off to a good start as a worship team and dancers graced the stage along with musicians who led those gathered in worship with songs such as Our God Is Greater, We Look To Yahweh, How Great Is Our God and Nobody Greater that kept the audience in the mood for worship, adoration and praise.
T&J Ministries were able to keep things in the spirit, delivering favourites like I’m On The Winning Side, Don’t Try To Tell Me God Is Dead and others that had the audience dancing, hands raised and praising God for his goodness.
Young Neesha Woods chose to present her message in a different style and fashion. Doing her renditions in dance hall, reggae and calypso, she had the younger crowd swaying as she sang Me Nah Bow To Satan, Jesus In Mi System and He’s Keeping Me Alive.
All in all, it was a fairly good show but evidently missing were the stalwarts of gospel who would have attracted more of those who were in the park for the final day of the exhibition. (RL)
