EVER NOTICED how quickly the numbers and words on your receipts fade, making their information inaccessible? This is particularly true of some ATM receipts, as well as credit and debit card transaction slips.
If Public Counsel Eli Edwards had his way, all suppliers providing goods and services to consumers would be mandated to use better quality ink and paper so that such fading would not happen.
But Barbados Bankers’ Association president Horace Cobham contends that the use of terminal paper and the fading of the information for card products were part of banks’ security.
Edwards, however, feels that it is about time something is done to address this issue as his office is getting complaints on the matter.
