Tanker to the rescue

PLEASE, SIR, CAN WE HAVE SOME MORE?
Students at Sharon Primary School formed long lines (at right) to fill their bottles and whatever other containers they could find with water from the Barbados Water Authority tanker that visited the school shortly after noon.
Principal Petrina Husbands said the school had been cleaned last Thursday and school was scheduled to commence today but water outages at the school and surrounding districts forced the school to close at 12:30 p.m.
Two other schools in the area were also without water – Lester Vaughan and the Maria Holder Nursery School, which cancelled classes as well. (LK)
