BSTU may go to law court
THE?Alexandra School affair is far from over as far as the Barbados Secondary Teachers Union’s (BSTU) is concerned.
The union is now threatening to seek recourse in the law courts if the chairman of the Public Service Commission (PSC) does not meet with it to discuss the transfer of a dozen teachers from the school.
Mary Ann Redman, the re-elected president of the union said yesterday that if the PSC continues to ignore BSTU, the next course of action would be the law courts
“We are hoping that it does not come to that. But if they do not meet with us and provide satisfactory answers, then we would have exhausted all possible avenues at this level in getting our matter addressed,” Redman told the union’s annual general meeting at Queen’s College, St James.
