St Joseph man critical after shooting

A late night shooting incident yesterday has left a St Joseph man listed in critical condition at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Police report Vernon Worrell, 47, of Cambridge, was walking along a road in the area when he was shot three times about the body by an unknown assailant. Reports indicate he was shot in the left shoulder and abdomen.
Worrell was taken to the hospital via ambulance where he underwent surgery and is listed in critical, but stable, condition.
Police are asking anyone with any information which may lead to the arrest of the assailant to contact 211 emergency or 1-800-TIPS.
