The challenges facing non-governmental organizations (NGO) and other civil society groups are numerous and continue to affect their ability to aid in the growth and development of the “human capital”.
This is according to chairman of the Non-State Actors (NSA) small grants programme, Rodney Grant, who said any financial assistance at this time was welcomed.
Grant was speaking at the Barbados NSA small grants programme award ceremony at the Courtyard by Marriott yesterday.
“As a sector, NGOs have very important roles to play when you look at various processes in terms of development and productivity . . . and civil society has been very integral in terms of the development of Barbados over the years,” he said.  (MM)
