A house fire at Taylors Gap Weston, St James, destroyed a three-bedroom house and its contents last night.
Fire officials said they received the call and responded with two water tenders – one from Weston and the other from Arch Hall fire station.
Owner of the house Nigel Depeiza, who occupies the house with his 18-year-old old son Reco Taylor, said he was asleep in the bedroom of the house when he smelled the smoke.
A shaken and tearful Depeiza, who is a chef by profession, occupied the house for more than 20 years.
Police and fire officials continue their investigations into the fire. (RL)
