Special fund for needy at Parkinson

Social Share

A benevolent fund has been established at the Parkinson Memorial Secondary School to assist needy students.
During morning assembly yesterday, two institutions made monetary donations to the fund. Prosecure Distributors Ltd and the Career Development Institute each presented the school with cheques valued at BDS$1 500.
Students will commit  to donating $2 per term  to the foundation, while the principal will  commit $1 000 per year. Teachers will also be asked to donate.
Principal Jeff Broomes, who proposed the fund, urged students not to take it lightly, since each member of the Parkinson family had a responsibility to help the other. (AH)
