‘Water torture’ in Walkers

THE RESIDENTS OF WALKERS, St Andrew, are singing the water blues.
And they believe that the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) is not listening.
Many frustrated residents complained to the WEEKEND NATION that they had to go long hours without water, having running taps only between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m.
Sandra Downes expressed the belief that the residents were paying for a service they were not receiving.
“[This] is forcing people to have to do laundry at 3 and 4 a.m. and you have to bathe at that time in the morning too. Who wants to wash their hair and wash their clothes at midnight?” said Downes.. (AH)
