IT IS IMPORTANT to help those with disabilities to reach their full potential, says president of the Barbados Council for the Disabled, Senator Kerryann Ifill.
As such, she is urging Barbadians to seek out members of the disabled community living near them and spend time with them.
“If you know of a person within your community with a disability, go and share some time with them; find out what their interests are and try your utmost to help them to reach their maximum potential,” she said.
Ifill was speaking at a special parish thanksgiving service yesterday at St Paul’s Anglican Church for the recently concluded St Paul’s Fiesta. Ifill is the patron of the event this year and the council will be the beneficiary for the next three years.. (CA)
