The BARBADOS COUNCIL FOR THE DISABLED recently received part of the proceeds from the Nation Fun Ride 2013.
The presentation, made last Friday, August 2, at the council’s headquarters, saw $500 being donated to the charity as well as complimentary advertising in The NATION newspaper valued at $2 000.
Valerie Hope, Head of Marketing and Communication, Nation Publishing, made the official handover.
“We are pleased to be able to make this contribution to the council. We hope that it will go a long way in assisting them to achieve their objectives, especially as it relates to making Barbados fully inclusive. We wish to especially thank them for their patronage of the Fun Ride and look forward to partnering with them again in November for our 40th Anniversary Nation Funathlon.”
The Nation Fun Ride, held on Sunday, July 7, in celebration of the Nation’s 40th anniversary, attracted hundreds of professional and amateur riders.
The Barbados Council for the Disabled is the official charity for the Nation Fun Events 2013. (PR)
