Primary school teacher charged with drugs
A primary school teacher has been charged with a number of drug offences.
He is Barbadian Eadiun Nicholas Nariah Cobham, 26, of Jericho, St George.
A release today from the police stated the offences include possession, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation of five pounds of compressed cannabis.
Police said Cobham arrived by air from Canada on Sunday and was interviewed by law enforcement officers on the outside of the Arrivals Hall after clearing Customs.
“He was taken back to Customs and an examination was conducted of his suitcase and 11 compressed packages of cannabis were found concealed in a false bottom”.
Cobham appeared at the District B Magistrate Court today pleaded not guilty to the charges.
He was granted bail in the sum of $7 500 to reappear at the District B Court on October 10, 2013. (CM/PR)
