Crews from the Barbados Water Authority (BWA)?last night worked to repair a 16-inch main along the Spring Garden Highway that leaked from from a joint earlier and spewed hundreds of litres of water into the air.
BWA’s distribution engineer, Hector Marshall, who was on the scene, said: “We have a full crew of workers out which includes welders, pump crews and other workers who are on the job to carry out repairs and strengthen the joint. This could take four to six hours to complete.”
Households and businesses along nearby Brighton and Brandons were affected and BWA tankers were dispatched. (RL)
