THE BRAVE MEN and women who risk their lives daily fighting fires and helping to keep Barbados safe will be in the spotlight for this entire week.
The Barbados Fire Service, having had its 58th birthday in April, is having its anniversary celebrations in the cooler month of September.
These kicked off yesterday with a service at Hawthorne Methodist Church, Worthing, Christ Church. It attracted past and present fire officers and high-ranking officers from the Royal Barbados Police Force and the Barbados Prison Service. (YB)
