THE CARIBBEAN COURT OF JUSTICE (CCJ) yesterday sided with Jamaican Shanique Myrie and ruled that Barbados breached her rights to enter this country.
But it held that Immigration officials did not discriminate against Myrie because of her nationality.
Today, the Jamaican is BDS$77 000 richer at the expense of Government.
The landmark decision, which has implications for movement of people throughout the region, was handed down in a video conference link with the CCJ in Trinidad and Tobago, Myrie and her team in Jamaica and the Barbados and CARICOM delegation in the Supreme Court complex, Whitepark Road.
