WHAT WAS SUPPOSED to be just another night of volleyball at the Wildey Gymnasium turned into a feisty encounter last night.
Cawmere player Eadiun Cobham started a thrash talking exercise which saw him being disqualified against Deacons, and his team losing the match 25-15, 25-9, 24-26, 25-17 as they had only six players available.
In a match without fireworks, defending men’s champions Chargers easily stretched their unbeaten record to 6-0 by punishing Foundation 25-19, 25-18, 25-20.
Second placed Progressive kept in the hunt by stopping the Juniors 23-25, 25-17, 25-12, 25-11. (KB)
