UPDATE: Jones granted bail

DEREK DECOURSEY JONES was granted bail when he appeared in District A Magistrates Court today.
Jones, 41, of Block 4A, Ferniehurst, Black Rock, St Michael was charged with possession, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation of 5.5 pounds of compressed cannabis.
The illegal drug was discovered in a false compartment of his suitcase when he was searched by Customs officials at the Airport yesterday. He had just arrived from Jamaica.
He was granted bail to the sum of $10 000 on his own recognizance. He must surrender his passport and report to the Black Rock Police Station on Monday.
Jones is scheduled to appear in the District B Magistrates Court on Tuesday. (PR)
