Charles F. Broome bat smashes 128

CHARLES?F. BROOME’s batsman Reuben Agard posted the fourth century of this year’s Guardian General Herman Griffith Primary Schools Cricket Competition in his team’s lopsided 204-run victory over Vauxhall at Dover, yesterday.
Ten-year-old Agard hit 18 fours in an unbeaten 128 to lead Charles F. Broome to a formidable total of 231 for three.
Vauxhall were then bundled out for a meagre 27, with Khalil Clarke taking four for eight, including a hat-trick.
A number of other schools were dismissed for paltry totals, with St Silas routing Half Moon Fort for just 12; Welches dismissing Holy Innocents for 23 and St Giles bowling out Grazettes for only 19.

At Eden Lodge: St Matthew’s 72 (D. Busay 14; D. Jordan 4-11, A. Watkins 4-18). Eden Lodge 59 (D. Jordan 12, T. Rayside 12: T. Riley 4-15, O. Busay 2-10, K. Waithe 2-16). St Matthew’s won by 14 runs.
At Orange Hill: Half Moon Fort 12 (Tyrek King 5-5, Z. Sandiford 3-5). St Silas 13-0. St St Silas won by 10 wickets.
At Briar Hall: St Paul’s 69 (R. Simmons 15, L. Pollard 14). Milton Lynch 70-3 (J. Mayers 14; D. Stevenson 4-20, D. Brathwaite 3-5, J. Forde 3-24). Milton Lynch won by seven wickets.
At Friendship: St Giles 107-2 (J. St Hill 34 n.o., S. Blenman 24 n.o.; K. Babb 2-16). Grazettes 19 (A. Chandler 2-2, J. St Hill 2-3, R. Roach 2-3, S. Blenman 2-3). St Giles won by 88 runs.
At Farmers: Chalky Mount 63 (V. Vaughn 18; K. Gilkes 4-20, A. Brathwaite 3-12, T. Arthur 2-7). Hillaby Turner Hall 65-9 (T. Arthur 11, R. Willoughby 10, J. Ellis 10; D. Foster 2-18, K. Waldo 2-21). Hillaby won by one wicket.
At Bagatelle: Welches 115 in 25 overs (S. Birch 27, C. Marshall 3-16). Holy Innocents 23 in 8.4 overs (Stefan Birch 5-4, J. Codrington 2-0). Welches won by 92 runs.
