Teenage boys get bail, on curfew
THE TWO TEENAGE BOYS charged with taking an indecent photograph of two school children having sex in a classroom last month pleaded not guilty to the charge today when they appeared before Magistrate Ian Weekes at the District D Magistrates’ Court in Rock Hall, St Thomas.
The students, aged 16 and 15, were granted bail of $10 000 each and placed on a 6 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. curfew. Their next court date will be November 27 at the Holetown Magistrates’ Court.
The 16-year-old male also pleaded not guilty to possession of five cannabis plants which were found under cultivation in pots and buckets when a warrant was executed at his St James home.
They were alleged to have taken the photograph between September 1 and October 30 this year while at their school.
According to a police statement, the teens were arrested following investigations relating to the October 26 article in the SATURDAY SUN called Sex Scene. (SP)
