OPPOSITION LEADER Mia Mottley, Shadow Attorney General Dale Marshall and Leader of Opposition Business in the House of Assembly Kerrie Symmonds were this morning interviewed by police at the District ‘A’ Police Station.
Meanwhile, reports indicate consideration is also being given to charges against the NATION and associate editor Barry Alleyne.
These developments relate to an incident where the Opposition walked out of the House of Assembly on July 16 and a subsequent story.
Marshall noted that while he and his colleagues supported the work of the police, it was “unfortunate” that charges were being considered against a media house.
“I can tell you that we have given written statements to the Royal Barbados Police Force indicting that on the advice of counsel we refuse to make any statement in this matter,” he said. (NB)
