THE CITY OF BRIDGETOWN has even greater appeal to a certain high-flyer than ever before. Though he worked in Town for several years, he never really took the time to appreciate the ambience and services available there until recently.
This individual’s road-to-Damascus moment came after he had travelled across the length and breadth of Barbados seeking some place that would be amenable. But search as hard as he could from Warrens to Six Roads, Speightstown to Wildey and every place in between, none could match the reception and friendly people in The City.
In Bridgetown he met people who not only listened to him but relieved him of the millions of burdens he was carrying around but could find no place to unload them.
So this person – who must be the happiest individual in Barbados today, though there are thousands of others who are screw-faced and vex for one reason or another – is loudly singing the virtues of Bridgetown.
In fact, someone said they actually heard the individual recently singing that Elvis Presley classic The Wonder Of You in lauding his new-found love.
The song goes:

And you’re always there to lend a hand

That’s the wonder
The wonder of you.
Though the praises have been welcomed by all those in Town who helped to show the individual what he had been missing for so many years, some are wondering if this person may consider establishing themselves there, given their penchant for always wanting to call the shots.
Whatever happens, though, for sure Bridgetown has gained a new love.

?AN ANXIOUS GROUP is hoping to restore lustre and confidence to the eastern triumvirate after the bashing they received because of the poor handling of a matter in that part of the world.
A member of the group was highly offended that it took repeated adverse publicity for the powers that be, one of whom is part of the triumvirate, to act decisively.
According to what Cou Cou was told, this person said loudly at a meeting that it was this type of slow response that has gained them an unenviable reputation and accusations of suffering from an implementation deficit condition, which must be cured if they are to regain the confidence of people in general.

Wrong man for sure
?PEOPLE ARE SIDING with an individual who recently came out to defend his name and dismiss the rumours about him in a sex video.
They have been calling and telling Cou Cou that the individual involved in the act cannot be the person they know, even though the physical similarities are uncanny.
The callers are saying when one looks closely at the face it can be clearly seen it is not the individual, so stop blaming him – even though he can’t escape responsibility for other things.
Two callers took the cake though. One said the person had come to be associated with pain and not the immense pleasure being served up in the video.
The other said if the individual could lick the person into such a frenzy, they could do the same in other matters. And since they were not, it just couldn’t be him.
