Three charged for illegal firearms

Police have arrested and charged three people following investigations into the seizure of four illegal firearms this week.
Jahmeel Lorenzo Jones, 23, of no fixed place of abode has been charged with one count of possession of a firearm without a valid licence and one count of possession of a quantity of ammunition without a valid permit.
He has also been charged with 22 counts of burglary, most of which were committed between 2013 and 2014 in the Bush Hall and Ivy, St Michael communities as well as two counts of disorderly behavior.
In a separate case, police have arrested and jointly charged Gary Decourcey Zepherin, 37, of Cyprus Street, Bridgetown, and Kynasha Gill, 20, of King William Street, Bridgetown for possession of three firearms without valid licences and possession of a quantity of ammunition (56 rounds) without a valid permit.
Jones, Zepherin and Gill are expected to appear at the District “A” Magistrates Court tomorrow. (PR/NB)
