AN UNBROKEN stand between Ravi Bopara and captain Stuart Broad helped England to a hard-fought three-wicket victory over West Indies at North Sound, Antigua today.
Reeling on 105 for seven after collapsing from 79 for three, Bopara was unbeaten on 38 and Broad on 28 as England reached 163 for seven in reply to West Indies’ 159.
Spinner Nikita Miller and captain Dwayne Bravo took two wickets each.
Earlier, West Indies laboured to the final score of 159 all out on a difficult pitch.
Lendl Simmons again starred with the bat, scoring 70.
The series is tied 1-1, setting up an intriguing match in Wednesday’s decider.
