MAKE THAT FOUR on the trot for Gold.
It was another golden moment for Alma Parris’ champion house at Speightstown on Friday as victrix ludorum Shaunika Trotman and her male counterpart Dave Gibbons led the perennial winners to a fourth straight sports day title.
Led by a combined 87 points from the dynamic duo, Gold completed the beaver-trick after amassing 374 points to overcome a spirited challenge from Green (326). Blue came further down the field in third with 273 points.
Gibbons proved near unbeatable all day, having swept the 100, 200, 400 and 800 metres events following a pair of second-place efforts in the shot put and discus en route to a total of 42 points in Division 1.
But Trotman went one better, adding that Division 2 shot put title to the same quartet of track victories after also placing second in the discus for a meet-best 45 points.
