Not the case
BLAME GOVERNMENT for the financial problems at Kensington Oval!
Independent Senator Tony Marshall stressed this yesterday as he dismissed statements from Government Senator Reggie Hunte, who spent several minutes castigating the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) for its indebtedness to the Oval’s management.
Marshall’s intervention came after Opposition Senator Wilfred Abrahams cited the standing orders and questioned the relevance of Hunte’s exhaustive statements exposing the WICB to the debate.
Speaking on Day 2 of the Senate’s debate on the Appropriation Bill, which includes Government’s Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure, Hunte claimed the WICB was indebted to Kensington Oval Management Inc (KOMI) to the tune of $1 575 128.13.
