THE ATMOSPHERE was charged with praise and worship during the Break Every Chain benefit gospel concert last Saturday at the Gymnasium of the Garfield Sobers Sports Complex, Wildey, St Michael.
Pastor John Forde of Revival Times Ministries ensured the right tone was set with opening prayer on time at 7 p.m. This was followed by a flawless instrumental rendition of the National Anthem by saxophonist Kieshelle Rawlins.
Anointed PraiZe, a local group comprising Mya Daniel, Raphael Saul, James Leacock, Alicia Lynch, Everdene Smart, Danielle Baptiste, Keren Francis, Allison Norville Forde, Alicia Smart-Cheltenham and Lester Welch, was well received.
The ten members, led by Welch, got a standing ovation and thunderous applause when they rendered God Is On Our Side. They also sang back-up for Tasha Cobbs, a Grammy, Multi Dove and Stellar Award winner for Break Every Chain.
