Nation steps up solar thrust

THE NATION PUBLISHING Company today boosted its green energy thrust by launching a 100 kilowatt solar system at its Fontabelle, St Michael complex.

The system was created by Innogen Technologies Inc., a company belonging to the Nation Group.

At the launch, the Nation’s Publisher and CEO Vivian-Anne Gittens said the company was reaping rewards from its energy programme, with a significant reduction in consumption.

Minister of Industry Donville Inniss welcomed the new development, saying it tied in with Government’s efforts to reduce the island’s dependence on energy based on fossil fuel. (TY)
