Blackett: take children to church

BARBADOS’ Minister of Social Care Steve Blackett wants to see more children in church.
Addressing a service today to launch Child Month, Blackett told parents and guardians they needed to “ensure that [children] attend church and get involved from an early age”.
He said those looking after the welfare of children had to “walk the walk” rather than just “talk the talk”, and let children see their commitment to God and his word through “the lifestyle that you live”.
The service was held at the Sanctuary Empowerment Centre, a church in Country Road, St Michael. It was attended by several children and representatives of the Child Care Board. (TY)
