STEDSON “RED PLASTIC BAG” WILTSHIRE and pannist David “ZigE” Walcott left the island today to take part in a big cultural festival.
Part of this mission would be to promote Crop Over and bring visitors to Barbados.
Minister of Culture Stephen Lashley said this was also part of the plan to strengthen cultural links with Brazil and China.
He said missions to China and Brazil were bearing fruit and local artistes were taking advantage of a number of opportunities presented in Brazil. Those opportunities would help Barbados earn foreign exchange, he said. (PR)
