Goddard catering companies win big
Companies owned by local conglomerate Goddard Enterprises Limited have won a number of international awards.
Members of the regional grouping of the Goddard Catering Group (GCG) were proud of their Central and South American counterparts who recently copped three of the top prizes in the prestigious United Airlines Annual Quality First Caterer Recognition programme.
The presentation took place last month at the Metropolitan Club, in Willis Tower, Chicago, Illinois. They surpassed more than 140 in-flight caterers from around the world who participated in the programme, now in its 18th year.
Goddard Catering Group Honduras won the prestigious Crystal Award for the Small Location category by winning all four quarters in 2013. This award was achieved by the “consistent delivery of quality catering and service to United Airlines and the dedication and commitment to excellence of the management and employees of the company”.
Sister company Goddard Catering Group Colombia won the Silver award in the Medium Category, while Goddard Catering Group Guatemala won the Bronze, both for the second year running. Officials said these “commendable results” were achieved through the consistent performance of both companies during the year.
In applauding the employees at all three companies, divisional general manager for catering Stewart Massiah said, “We are so proud of these companies and the employees. They have been assessed by persons outside of our organisation and have been evaluated against competing companies from around the world, have performed well and have come out on top. I congratulate each and everyone because I know these were team efforts.”
“We know that we have good people, but when that is verified by our customers, it is really gratifying” he added. (PR/SC)
