Scores of people turned out yesterday for an auction sale which caught the interest and attention of collectors, business people and those simply looking for something unique.
On offer was a wide selection of antiques, furniture, collectibles and housewares from Villa Nova, a plantation house and hotel in St John.
It is one of the properties of CLICO Holdings Barbados which is under receivership.
The auction sale, which ran from 10 a.m. until just after 6 p.m., will continue next Saturday. The property itself is on the market with an asking price of US$10 million. (ES)
