IT’S BACK to the finals for the champs.
Adrian Allman had eight of his 16 points during a decisive 16-6 third-quarter run, as Lumber Company LSC moved into a title-series rematch against the Pine following Thursday’s 79-63 Game 3 win over rivals Station Hill Cavaliers in the Co-operators General Insurance Premier League basketball playoffs.
Playing at the Wildey Gym, the defending champs used the second-half run to wrap up the best-of-three series and advance to their fifth successive finals – and seventh in eight years.
Reserve forward Mark Bridgeman had a game-high 24 points and nine rebounds while Keefe Birkett added 18 points and five assists.
For Station Hill, Jamario Clarke top-scored with 16 points, Jason Smith scored 12 and Darren Hunte finished with 11.
LSC open the best-of-five finals against the top-seeded Smalta Pinelands on Saturday night at the Barbados Community College in a repeat of last year’s championship series. (JM)
