THE?CREDIT?UNION cares. Certainly this is the testimony of the Barbados Public Workers’ Co-operative Credit Union Limited whose chief executive officer, Clorida Alleyne, says will remain true to its mandate of “people helping people”.
She said Saturday’s members’ market day was “an avenue where members, especially those impacted by the recent spate of retrenchments could display their products and services to the public”.
Alleyne said notwithstanding the challenges presented by lay-offs of members and the proposed tax imposition on credit unions by government” we intend to continue our efforts to assist our members in tangible ways.
“We intend to see our members through what is for many a totally unexpected and ominous turn of events in their work situation. This is our way of continuing to assure our members that we do care.” (ES)
