Jamaican charged with drug offences

A JAMAICAN MAN has been arrested and charged in relation to illegal drugs.
Linton Hugh Grant, 46, is expected to appear in the District ‘B’ Magistrate’s Court tomorrow to face charges of possession, trafficking, importation, and possession with intent to supply 13 pounds of cannabis.
According to police, Grant’s luggage was searched by Customs shortly after arrival from Jamaica on last night. Thirteen taped packages containing the illegal drug were found in a false compartment in his luggage, three were found in a folder, and one other in a short pants he was wearing.
Grant and the contraband were handed over to police and he was subsequently charged. (SP)
