WORRIED CONSUMERS in Christ Church, St Philip, and St Joseph should get some relief from their water woes by today.
But in St Joseph there is still no guarantee water will be flowing through the tap all day, each day.
Yesterday, as its crews worked to solve problems of equipment failure and ruptured pipes,  the Barbados Water Authority (BWA) promised a measure of relief but also sent Barbadians a message that they needed to conserve precious water.
BWA manager, engineering Charles Marville said yesterday evening that a crew was close to completing repair work on the 16-inch water main in Woodbourne, St Philip, which had ruptured at least five times in recent weeks, causing some outages.
