Find good role models

DEPUTY GENERAL SECRETARY of the Barbados Workers’ Union Toni Moore today challenged schoolchildren to find and follow good role models – not “the bad boys”.
She was addressing a graduating ceremony at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre for students moving from the Grantley Prescod Memorial Primary School to secondary schools across Barbados next September.
She told the schoolchildren they could achieve any goal they set themselves, but they had to work hard for success. There would be challenges and setbacks along the way, but the young people should have the determination to go on, Moore said.
She also urged parents to support their children’s dreams and to be good role models. (TY)
